Boardcrafter Design v1.0.1 is now available for download. This release addresses two bugs described in the release notes. The old software keys for v1.0.0 will still function for this bug fix release so re-registration of the software is not required.

Carbon fibre instead of triax 2 Years ago Karma: 0
On Snowboard components page it says that Carbon fibre can be used. Do you have any spec's on what or how to use it as i may be able to get my hands on this easier than the traix.

Would it be the same lay up as triax?
Thanks
Lee

The rule of thumb of carbon vs glass, is that carbon is 7 times stronger than glass. If you use 21oz triax glass you will get the same strength ratio with 7oz carbon and 2/3 less weight. the down fall is its thinner and you will have less soak up. If you use it alone as your main cloth I would butter your base and core along with wetting out your carbon. Also the stuff is expencive.
