Making Snowboard Mold Ribs - Part 4 PDF Print E-mail
Written by Dante Martin

The actual snowboard mold ribs are made by copying the mold rib template made in Part 3. This is done by:

  • Cutting planks to a desired length
  • Slightly offsetting the template shape and tracing it with a pencil
  • Cutting along the drawn mold rib shape with a jig saw to make a ‘rough snowboard mold rib’
  • Using a trim router and the mold rib template to make an exact mold rib copy
  • Repeating these steps until the desired number of mold ribs are made
